What time is the party?
(A que hora es la fiesta?) It is at 8:30 (Es a las ocho y media) We use at
because we are talking about the time of an event. |
What time is it now?
(Que hora es ahorita?) It is 8:30. (Son las ocho y media.) we do not use at because we are talking about the actual time. |
both answers start with the the word "it".
When responding to a question that includes "what time":
you can repeat the subject or
replace the subject with the pronoun "it".
ex. What time is the party?
The party is at 8:30 OR It is at 8:30.
