Poster Party: tell us about your family
Draw a picture (or have a photo) of each person in your family.
Write a paragraph about each person.
include:
ex. This is my dog. His name is Biggie. He is 4 years old. He is a therapy dog. He is playful, cute, black, and hungry.
Post the pictures and paragraphs onto a poster board.
On the final day of class:
Draw a picture (or have a photo) of each person in your family.
Write a paragraph about each person.
include:
- their name
- their age
- their job
- adjectives describing them.
ex. This is my dog. His name is Biggie. He is 4 years old. He is a therapy dog. He is playful, cute, black, and hungry.
Post the pictures and paragraphs onto a poster board.
On the final day of class:
- students hang their posters
- students tell the class about their family
(teacher has grading rubric) - other students can ask questions about the families
(2 questions required and included on grading rubric) - have a learning celebration (aka. party)
